Nostalgia
Its really nice that technology can connect people quite effectively. I've had friends whom I havent even seen or heard abt in years popping up on Orkut and saying Hi. Believe me, if they hadnt specified what school they had gone to with me, I wudnt even have recognized them. They all look so different now.
I had a friend who had gone to school with me till 9th. He then left for US. After 7 years I follow his path, come to US. Alone in a foreign country, I try to round up all my resources to establish new friends. In that process, friends cousins became my own cousins...etc. Then someone had this idea of starting a school grp in yahoo....and wham...here come ppl I knew......in different parts of US....and finally, I was able to get in touch with my old friend....and we could just pick up where we left years ago. Its such a nice feeling to reestablish friendships.
Everyone goes through a phase in life where people they thought as close change...or maybe they themselves change. Its at times like these that you get reassurance thru meeting an old friend, so that they can tell u....u are still the same old u...
I was watching a movie called "My wife's murder".....the movie is fortunately short, but decent. Its not thought provoking or anything but still bearable at 1.43 hours.
Its so funny that we enjoy movies that are as different from real life as it can be...rather than these realistic movies. I got inspired by ShahRukh lifting Kajol effortlessly in DDLJ...and tried to emulate that once I got married. I lifted my wife 'with ease' ....for 3 seconds.
A sore back and a hurt ego was all I had left instead of a romantic manoeuvre. Well, the fact that my wife weighs almost as much as me, can be one of the reasons : )
